If you couldn’t tell, we're pretty silly people, but also equally very sentimental. Having gone through our own weddings, the births of our own children (Alicia has 2 kids and Rachel has 3 kids), as well as experiencing profound loss of loved ones, it's apparent that throughout life's ups and downs the one thing we always come back to is pictures.

It’s really easy to dismiss just how important photography is. Our memories, even in their prime aren't exact. and especially, in times of heightened stress or anxiety (like I don’t know, let’s say…a wedding or something) you may not even remember certain details at all (Alicia definitely blacked out for a few seconds when she walked down the aisle at her wedding). Photos are the most reliable way to lock in your memories and keep them forever.













When you initially start thinking of your wedding photos you think ‘Oh yeah, someone will come and they will just like, take pictures? That’s easy.’ But then you start to do your research and you see the price differences and the different styles and your head probably starts to spin. Like how do you know who to pick? You start to realize maybe it's actually really heavy to pick the person who will come and take all these really important images of you and your family and your friends and your spouse and then…at the end of the night…they just LEAVE with them? 

Wanna know why we love being wedding photographers? 

All these extraordinary moments unfold in front of us when we're documenting and we think about how lucky we are to be able to observe and process them from our perspective and then provide these images to our couples. Then, anyone who really means something to them will look at them. Down the line their families will look at them and be able to say ‘I remember that’, or ‘tell me about this’ and these photos, our photos will help keep the memories alive of these most important moments. To us, that’s what it’s all about and why we take this all so seriously. It’s not just a click of a button.  

While the way we photograph is mostly candid, there’s something really important about making time for posed pictures on your wedding day. They may not be everyone’s favorite, but they serve the purpose of saying 'Hey, on this day, I was here with the people who love and support me. I made time to honor them and the bond I have with them'. All too often, we hear stories of people (not photographed by us) not getting a photo with the ones they wanted to, which is why we always make sure to have a hand in timeline creation so we can be sure to get everything you really want.

Investing in us gets you more than just wedding photography. We always joke that we are also secretly hair stylists, florists, or seamstresses (the list goes on) because after being a part of so many weddings, we have picked up the essential skills needed to really keep your day on track. From pinning a Boutonnière, to securing a fly away veil, or even sewing a bride's ripped dress (yes, this has happened many times), we have seen it all, and have guided countless couples through whatever challenges they have been met with. 

We are also often praised for bringing in something that most weddings usually NEED at some point- a calming outsiders voice of reason. Emotions may run high on your wedding day and we know how to help you get through it. We strive to silently run the wedding day, however we are not afraid to speak up if need be or advocate for you if any situation arrises.
