I have been an Upstate New York wedding photographer for over 10 years! Since having my two daughters, I have also found a love for maternity, newborn and family photography as well. I'm a self proclaimed goof ball with a permanent smile on my face and making people laugh and smile with me has been on my to-do list since I was young.
I started my photography journey while still in high school, spending any and all free time I had in the darkroom. I loved it so much, I knew there was nothing else I could ever do that would feel as right as this career path did so I did something crazy and majored in photography in college. I attended F.I.T. (The Fashion Institute of Technology) where I focused on fashion and advertising photography. I always think back to how helpful those years were because it gave me the tools and skills to create timeless images. I found that I much prefer to work for real people, and real emotions, not companies or models so choosing to photograph weddings was a no brainer.
I am constantly inspired by interesting lighting and the elements of design (color, line and space in particular) and even when I'm not taking pictures, I see the world from a perspective that's all my own.
I have been married to my husband Stephen since 2016 and I'm also a mom to two crazy and beautiful girls. In my free time (if I get any) I enjoy playing board games or video games (Yoshi is my home boy) and love going to Dave and Busters or bowling.

When a couple invites Rachel & I to capture their event, we don't take that lightly. Speaking from personal experience, I know that after your wedding day is through, and years have gone by, your photos may be the only way to preserve the memory of the people you spent your time with.
Because I couldn't clone myself, and because Rachel was a bridesmaid in my wedding, I had to hire someone else to photograph my wedding in 2016. My expectations were NOT met, so I know what it feels like first hand to be disappointed in the product I received. Instead of sulking (which I did for a minute, don't get me wrong), I turned it into a learning experience about why our role in each wedding is so important. I'm not telling you all of this because I want you to feel bad for me. I want you to know that, no matter what, we will show up for you in every way possible. We want you to have the best experience, because I know you deserve it!

As a little girl, my mom had a plaque on
her wall that read "Be Yourself".
Because of that sign, when I was a little girl, my
grandma would always tell me "Be Yourself"
On many important days, she would call and simply
remind me of this phrase. This constant reminder
was key because I truly live by those words now.
For my own wedding day, my dress had these words
sewn into it by my mom because, for me it's now
more than a phrase.
It is now also tattooed, in my grandma's handwriting
on my arm as a permanent reminder.
I really can't wait to show you how easy it will be
to be yourself in your wedding photos, too!

through a mutual friend, I realized we made the perfect team. I joined her company in 2012 and the rest is magical history! I got my start in photography at age 15 while also in high school as an equestrian photographer, traveling around the country photographing horse shows. After attending Dutchess Community college, I eventually changed my main focus to photographing weddings.
I am definitely the silent type but will take charge when it's needed. I have a strong eye for detail so I keep Alicia in check to ensure we get the perfect shot.
